Trophy Robotics is a club where kids meet in small groups and have a
hands-on experience
of science and technology. We use LEGOŽ as our equipment
and show them how basic
mechanics works,
i.e. wheels & axles, gears, levers etc.
For the older kids we have robotics, where we teaches them basic
programming and building skills with the opportunity to experience
international competitions with their
robots!

Trophy
Computers has started as an educational business, where we had a computer
club
for kids. As the years have gone by, that need was less needed as more
people and schools got their own computers.
This brought a new need to people - designing. Many people want a functional
website, animated advertisements or marketing material for their businesses.

The
word robot is used to refer to a wide range of machines, the common feature of
which is that they are all capable of movement and can be used to perform
physical tasks. Robots take on many different forms, ranging from humanoid,
which mimic the human form and way of moving, to industrial, whose appearance
is dictated by the function they are to perform.
Robots can be grouped generally as mobile robots (eg. autonomous vehicles),
manipulator robots (eg. industrial robots) and self re-configurable robots,
which can conform themselves to the task at hand.
Robots may be controlled directly by a human, such as remotely-controlled
bomb-disposal robots, robotic arms, or shuttles, or may act according to their
own decision making ability, provided by artificial intelligence.
However, the majority of robots fall in-between these extremes, being
controlled by pre-programmed computers. Such robots may include feedback loops
such that they can interact with their environment, but do not display actual
intelligence.
The LEGOŠ robotics system also falls in this environment and while many
people think of LEGO as just toys, the Robotics Invention System is much more
than just a toy. When used properly, one can teach children the basic concepts
of control technology and at the same time have a great deal of fun building
all kinds of strange and wonderful inventions. Kids enjoy this, because robots
are wonderfully captivating machines.
The word robotics refer to the process of teaching children
about these amazing and wonderful machines that we call "robots". This is also
what Trophy Robotics is doing .
